Anderlecht have announced the signing of former Nottingham Forest and Norwich defender Andrew Omobamidele on loan from Strasbourg. The Irish defender has joined the Belgian side on loan until the end of the season without a purchase option included as part of the deal.

Omobamidele began his career with Norwich, coming through the clubs academy before making his senior debut during the 2020/2021 season. Omobamidele played 55 games for Norwich, scoring two goals. In the summer of 2023 he left Norwich and joined Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. His opportunities at Nottingham Forest were limited to just 15 appearances. During the 2024/2025 season he left Nottingham Forest and signed for Strasbourg. Last season he played 41 games for the Ligue 1 side, but is clearly not seen as a first team player this year under Hugo Oliveira.
