Forrest starts! Scotland name starting XI for Gibraltar friendly | OneFootball

Steve Clarke has sprung several surprises with his team selection as his side take on Gibraltar in preparation for EURO 2024.

Scotland kick off the tournament against host side Germany in 11 days time, and face the minnows in their penultimate game, before taking on Finland to fine tune their preparations on Friday.

To that end, Clarke has named a surprising starting XI as he looks to ensure his squad remain match fit and head into the tournament in perfect shape.

The likes of Liam Cooper, Kieran Tierney and Callum McGregor have all been overlooked as Lawrence Shankland is handed a chance to impress at the top of the pitch alongside James Forrest, who ended the season in excellent form for Celtic.
