Fortaleza sign Corinthians midfielder Ryan on loan until 2026 with option to buy | OneFootball

Fortaleza have signed Corinthians midfielder Ryan, 22, on loan until December 2026, with an option to buy. He is already training with the squad at Pici and will be registered to play soon.

According to Meu Timao, the move forms part of the agreement that brought fellow midfielder Matheus Pereira to Corinthians, announced on Friday on similar terms. Corinthians will pay R$ 1.8 million for Matheus Pereira’s loan in 10 instalments, with the sum reduced if a permanent deal is agreed.

Ryan stepped up after Corinthians won the Copinha in 2024, the year he aged out of the academy. He has made 59 senior appearances, 22 as a starter, scoring one goal and supplying two assists, but has not nailed down a regular place.

At Fortaleza he joins competition in midfield from Ronald, Zé Welison, Lucas Sasha, Rodrigo Santos and Pierre. Relegated to Série B, the club are reshaping the squad and could move some players on.

Ryan’s departure adds to Corinthians’ current loans. Right-back Léo Mana is at Criciúma until 31 July, left-back Diego Palacios will play for Universidad Católica after returning from Karpaty Almaty on Wednesday, and centre-back Félix Torres has joined Internacional until the end of the year.

Meanwhile, centre-back Cacá has interest from Athletico-PR, and Renato, Alex Santana and Héctor Hernández are not in Dorival Júnior’s plans as they await offers from other clubs.
