According to Sportitalia, both clubs put forward near-identical proposals and Fiorentina left the final decision to the player.
Talks with Torino had been ongoing for a couple of months, with the Serie A side initially trying to buy him outright for about €5m.
After that was rejected and Hull expressed interest, the parties switched to a different formula. Fiorentina will first extend his contract, which is due to expire at the end of this season, then send him to Torino on loan with an option to buy.
Fortini, 20 in February and a product of the Viola academy, can play at left-back or right-back. The total outlay is expected to be around €8m plus €2m in add-ons.
