Fortuna Sittard beat Groningen 2-1 at the Euroborg, rising from 12th to ninth in the Eredivisie.

Dies Janse put Groningen in front in the sixth minute, turning in from close range after Younes Taha's delivery from a corner was kept alive.

Kaj Sierhuis quickly equalised (12.), finishing Justin Hubner's pass.

There was late VAR drama, but after a check in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time no penalty was awarded to Fortuna Sittard.
