Veratschnig, Redzic, Aguilar and Omoregie all out

Some bad news during the international break: following the injury to Damir Redzic announced yesterday, our Red Bulls face three further absences.

  • Nikolas Veratschnig sustained a ligament injury to his right knee after being fouled during his senior national team debut for Austria against Kosovo. The 23-year-old is returning to Salzburg immediately and will be unavailable for our Red Bulls for several weeks.
  • Enrique Aguilar has also returned to Salzburg due to injury. The young Swiss player picked up a thigh injury during a U20 match against the Czech Republic - further examinations are pending.
  • Justin Omoregie will not play again until the new year, unfortunately. The 23-year-old suffered a severe ankle injury last week during a friendly match - played by co-operation partner FC Liefering against WSG Tirol - and has already undergone surgery. He faces a long spell on the sidelines
  • Damir Redzic returned to Salzburg yesterday. The Hungarian had to be substituted following a rough tackle during his country's Nations League match against Ukraine. He sustained a ligament injury to his right ankle and will also be out of action for a few weeks.

We wish the boys a speedy recovery!
