St Johnstone beat Hibernian 2-1 at McDiarmid Park, rising from ninth to seventh in the Scottish Premiership.

In the 17th minute, Josh Fowler turned in from close range to give the hosts the lead. Nathan Lowe levelled with a composed finish from Miguel Chaiwa's through ball (29.).

A foul on Enes Alić by Martin Boyle brought a spot kick, and Fowler converted from the penalty (41.). The striker is now on four league goals, top of the Premiership scoring chart.

After the restart, Toby Steward saved well from Kanayo Megwa and then Thibault Klidje as Hibs pushed for an equaliser.

Hibs finished with 14 attempts and 53.5% possession. St Johnstone registered nine attempts and made 34 clearances.
