The Federação Paulista de Futebol announced on Monday that Matheus Candançan will referee the first leg between Palmeiras and Novorizontino, scheduled for Wednesday at 20:00 Brasília time at Arena Barueri.

Palmeiras reached the final by beating São Paulo 2-1 at Arena Crefisa Barueri, with goals from Maurício and Flaco López.

It is the club’s 19th Campeonato Paulista final, including editions without semi-finals and tiebreakers in round-robin seasons. This is their seventh in succession, after titles in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024 and runners-up finishes in 2021 and 2025. They are the only side to reach the last stage in every edition since 2020.

Novorizontino booked their place by defeating Corinthians 1-0 at Estádio Doutor Jorge Ismael de Biasi.

With the teams level on points, Novorizontino will decide the title at home due to a superior goal difference, the first tiebreak criterion.
