FPL: Stach to once more impress? | OneFootball

Leeds have teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2026/27 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season.

Scout will be using their expertise to provide advice and gameweek tips which should prove useful in ensuring you win your mini-leagues.

An opening day victory!

The Whites made a brilliant start to the Premier League season with a dramatic late win away at Nottingham Forest.

The Leeds defence, that we recommended investing in last week, is still a differential with FPL managers. Joe Rodon (£4.5m) and Tarik Muharemović (£5.0m) are the most owned Leeds defenders and are still found in just three per cent of teams each.

FPL managers that did opt for our defensive assets were delighted with the clean sheet points as Rodon, Muharemović and Jayden Bogle (£4.5m) all registered six-points.

Although, it was Jaka Bijol (£5.0m) and James Justin (£4.5m) who grabbed the attention at the back. Both players registered 10-point FPL hauls. The defenders are owned by 0.5 per cent and 0.7 per cent of the game and therefore are fantastic differentials who got their owners off to a flying start in their Mini-Leagues.

Both Bijol and Justin topped up their clean sheet points by registering two bonus points each and two Defensive Contribution points as well.

Muharemović and Rodon were unlucky not to collect the additional two Defensive Contribution points themselves. They returned seven each defensive contributions each, just three short of the threshold for defenders.

The Bosnian international was also threatening from set pieces and was unlucky not to see his second-half header nestle in the back of the net. Meanwhile, the Welsh centre-half also had an attempt on goal.

The solidity at the City Ground as well as the defensive contributions and the attacking threat makes the Leeds backline assets good investments for FPL managers heading into Gameweek 2.

Player Spotlight: Anton Stach (£6.0m)

The Germany international has the eyes of the FPL community on him after his Gameweek 1 performance. The midfielder had a team-leading three attempts on goal, the same as Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£6.0m), as well as having additional set piece responsibilities from corners.

If his game winning goal wasn’t appealing enough, he also registered 16 defensive contributions resulting in two additional points. Stach was only beaten for defensive contributions on the day by Ethan Ampadu (£5.5m) who registered an incredible 21 of them.

Stach also had more touches in the opponent’s half and final third than any other Leeds player across this fixture.

Best of the rest:

There were several great performances in Gameweek 1 with many of them coming from budget-friendly price points. Brighton’s Maxim De Cuyper (£4.5m) returned 17 points – the most he has ever achieved in an FPL gameweek. The defender played out-of-position in midfield which is something that FPL managers should look out for.

The Arsenal defence all, like Leeds’, performed well in Gameweek 1 with Ben White (£5.5m) leading the way for points there with 11.
