France staff confirmed as Fabien Barthez rejoins Zinédine Zidane | OneFootball

The French Football Federation announced on Thursday morning the backroom team Zinédine Zidane will rely on to lead France, with Fabien Barthez appointed goalkeeper coach in place of Franck Raviot.

Barthez, Zidane’s former international team-mate and a 1998 World Cup winner alongside him, reunites with the new France head coach. The pair have maintained close ties through France 98 gatherings and charity matches.

The technical staff also includes David Bettoni as assistant, Hamidou Msaidie as assistant coach, Grégory Dupont as strategic and performance adviser, Stéphane Plancque as observer, Farid Tabet as assistant coach and video data analyst, and Clément Ybert as assistant video analyst.

Mohamed Sanhadji remains head of security for the squad, following a period when his position had been uncertain and a source of tension.

The new-look staff’s first assignment is an away Nations League match in Türkiye on 25 September.
