In his statement, Coquelin said his deal with Nantes officially ended today, thanking the club for the chance to return to the pitch, as well as the president and head coach Kombouaré for helping bring him in.

He described Nantes as a family club and saluted everyday staff, from laundry and kit teams to cooks, administrative and sporting personnel. He admitted injuries limited his contribution, calling the season personally and collectively frustrating, accepted his share of responsibility and praised the medical department for their work and understanding.

Addressing supporters, he said he understood their frustration after a difficult campaign, called them essential to the club and expressed confidence the team can enjoy a strong season with their constant backing. He also wished Nantes to reclaim its rightful place in Ligue 1.

Coquelin said he will always retain a special bond with Nantes, which will remain in his heart. He thanked everyone for their support, trust and the moments shared as he prepares for his next step.
