Franjo Ivanovic joins Lens on season-long loan from Benfica | OneFootball

RC Lens confirmed on Wednesday the signing of Franjo Ivanovic on a season-long loan from Benfica, with no option to buy. The 22-year-old Croatia international becomes their sixth addition of the summer.

Ivanovic, capped nine times with two goals, can operate across the front line. He is noted for his pressing work and finishing.

He scored four Europa League goals for Union Saint-Gilloise, with whom he was crowned Belgian champion, including one against OGC Nice in a 2-1 win.

That form drew interest from Benfica, who signed him in the summer of 2025. He has eight goals and three assists in 43 matches for the Eagles.

Lens have also brought in Michaël Cuisance, Thorgan Hazard, Michal Skoras and Maik Nawrocki, and exercised the option to buy Saud Abdulhamid.
