St Mirren beat Kilmarnock 1-0 on Wednesday night at Rugby Park to remain second in the Scottish Premiership and leave the hosts winless after four league games.
In the fourth minute, Fraser Taylor swept a right-footed finish into the bottom right corner from Nikolas Agrafiotis' pass, giving the visitors the perfect start.
After the restart, Jacob Chapman tipped away Joe Hugill's drive (47.) as Kilmarnock chased a leveller.
Kilmarnock made a triple change at half time, introducing Djenairo Daniëls, Aaron Tshibola and Jamie Brandon, and pushed late on. From a Greg Kiltie corner, Tshibola glanced a header narrowly wide (90.).
There was a brief stoppage for an Eseosa Sule knock late on before the visitors saw out the points.
St Mirren had 53.1% possession and registered 10 attempts. Kilmarnock produced nine attempts and forced seven corners.
