Friendly A’: a major change announced for Egypt – Algeria

The Algerian Football Federation has announced a major change regarding the second match between the national A’ team and Egypt. Initially scheduled for this Monday at 5:00 p.m. at the Cairo International Stadium, the match has now been moved forward to 3:00 p.m. (Algerian time). “The second match between the two teams will take place on Monday, November 17, with a new kick-off time moving from 5:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.,” the FAF stated in its press release. This adjustment is the main headline of this new training camp and will force both teams to modify their preparations.
This second test comes just three days after a thrilling first encounter, which Egypt won 3-2. In that match, Algeria A’ struck first through Adil Boulbina, before conceding an equalizer via an own goal from Imad-Eddine Azzi. In the second half, Nassim L’Ghoul restored the lead for the Greens, but fatigue and two late Egyptian goals ultimately sealed victory for the Pharaohs.
For Madjid Bougherra and his staff, this second clash is an opportunity to correct the mistakes seen on Friday and to strengthen their tactical cohesion ahead of the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 in Qatar. Already qualified as defending champions, Algeria will compete in Group D alongside Iraq and the winners of the Bahrain–Djibouti and Lebanon–Sudan playoffs.
