For a friendly at the end of 2025 that could bring in €7–8 million, the Catalan club is favoring Morocco due to the easy logistics and financial potential. If necessary, the agreement could be postponed to 2026. According to Mundo Deportivo, after initial talks with Peru, Barça is now looking towards Morocco. The plan is to organize a friendly after their last official match of 2025 in the north of the African continent.

According to the outlet, Morocco is the preferred option for Barça’s management, especially thanks to the much simpler logistics, with a round trip from Barcelona possible within 24 hours.
