Victor Froholdt will spend the night in hospital after briefly losing consciousness during FC Porto’s 2-1 win over Moreirense on Friday.

The club said in a statement that the Danish midfielder suffered a concussion.

He underwent further tests, which detected no abnormalities, and is considered to be in a good condition.

The overnight stay is for monitoring as a precaution.

Froholdt left the match following the incident and should be discharged on Saturday.
