Bryan Zaragoza arrived on loan in January to fill the left-sided attacking midfielder slot.

However, his performance has been disappointing, and Roma are unlikely to sign him.

As reported by Bild, Germany’s leading news outlet, Bayern Munich are confident that Roma are unlikely to sign Bryan Zaragoza.

In January, the Bavarian club had opted to end the winger’s loan at Celta Vigo because Roma seemed more likely to sign him permanently, but the situation hasn’t evolved as hoped.

Zaragoza’s loan will be converted into a mandatory buyout, with a €13 million payment to Bayern Munich if the Giallorossi qualify for the next Champions League or Europa League, the Spaniard scores five goals, and reaches 50% of the appearances of 45 minutes or more.

These goals are far from being achieved, with the 2001-born player having played only 19% of his available minutes in Serie A and 37% in the Europa League, while he hasn’t even come on as a substitute in his last four league games.

It’s worth remembering that if he leaves, Roma will have to pay a €500,000 penalty.

In Germany, questions are being raised as to whether Gasperini’s decisions are also influenced by corporate influence, with the Roma management seeking to avoid the outlay. In any case, Zaragoza will most likely not be a Roma player beyond this June.
