Supporters converged on Ribeira by the Douro to celebrate FC Porto’s 31st title, sharing joy and stories from a serene, citywide party. According to O Jogo, the night brought a mix of relief, renewal and pride.

Ana Leal travelled from Vila das Aves, saying the wait since the club’s last trophy four years ago made this feel overdue. She felt it showed Porto can win without Pinto da Costa’s presence, while still regarding him as their emblematic figure.

From Leça da Palmeira, 51-year-old Paulo Dantas spoke of a team transformed. He credited the president and recent changes, arguing a full refresh of players and mindset was needed and is bearing fruit. He said the whole city has been swept up.

Stéphane, visiting from Cognac in France, took in the Ribeira scenes and called it a unique experience. He contrasted the calm in Porto with disturbances he associates with celebrations back home, and said the atmosphere here surprised him.

He added that revellers felt safe, pointing to a heavy police presence and security cameras, with music keeping everyone dancing. Elsewhere, Bednarek joined the champions’ party at Aliados.
