Napoli now look set to miss out on signing Bologna forward Dan Ndoye, as news broke this afternoon claiming the Swiss international is close to a move to Nottingham Forest.
Antonio Conte’s side had been big admirers of the Bologna star but were refusing to meet the Rossoblu’s demands for the player. With the player heading to the Premier League, Napoli will now look to England’s top flight for an alternative, with Liverpool forward Federico Chiesa, Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling and Manchester City’s Jack Grealish all linked with a move to Naples.

Scott McTominay moved from Manchester United to Napoli last summer and had an excellent first season in Italy. The Scotland international was vital to Antonio Conte’s side winning the Scudetto, being named Serie A MVP and in the division’s Team of the Season in the process.

We covered reports earlier today that claimed Conte was set to meet with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis and director Giovanni Manna to discuss the club’s strategy for the remainder of the transfer window. Among the names discussed will be the likes of Chiesa, Sterling and Grealish – amongst other possible options.
Napoli could once again take a risk on a Premier League player, trying to ‘do a McTominay’ and unearth another gem.
