From the National South to the Challenger Pro League: RFC Liege pick up former Bristol Rovers and Maidenhead goalkeeper from Maidstone United

RFC Liege have announced the signing of 27-year-old goalkeeper Alexis Andre Jr. The goalkeeper has swapped the English sixth tier for the Belgian second tier after a strong season with Maidstone United. the side were close to being promoted to the national league after shocking both Worthing and Eastbourne Borough during the play-offs. However, they fell short at the final hurdle with a 1-0 defeat to Boreham Wood.
Andre Jr was born in France but represented Morocco at youth level. Since 2017 he has been playing in English football, joining the likes of Bristol City, Maidenhead and Woking. The keeper spent many years out on loan as well as he forged a career in the lower reaches of the English game. His time in England has now been rewarded with a move to RFC Liege, a side with a proud history and one that will be eyeing a promotion to the Pro League next season.
