Fuentes and López lead El Salvador’s victory over Honduras

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Qualifiers continued with El Salvador defeating Honduras 3-nil in Group F on Tuesday at Estadio Nacional Jorge “El Mágico” González in San Salvador, El Salvador.

Danielle Fuentes placed El Salvador in the lead in the 3’ with a stunner from long-range.

The hosts doubled the lead in the 48’ through Abígail López, who found the back of the net with a powerful hit from outside the box to the top-right corner.

Victoria Meza rounded out the result for El Salvador in the 90’+6’ with a right-footed finish from inside the six-yard box.

El Salvador will host Barbados at the end of February. Honduras will retake the field with a home fixture against Trinidad and Tobago during the March fixtures.
