Benfica have announced a strategic partnership with Fujitsu, which becomes the club’s Official Cybersecurity Partner. The club said in a statement that the deal strengthens efforts to modernise and protect its digital ecosystem as it manages millions of interactions, data and critical services.
The partnership will draw on Fujitsu’s global expertise in cybersecurity, risk management and operational resilience to bolster the club’s defences. In sport and across modern organisations, cybersecurity is increasingly viewed as a foundation for trust, sustainable growth and successful adaptation to the digital environment.
When incidents do occur, the impact is felt beyond technology, affecting day-to-day operations, reputation, customer confidence and financial performance.
As a result, cybersecurity is positioned within risk management and business continuity planning, involving not only technical teams but also boards along with finance, legal and operational departments.
Financial terms were not disclosed. The agreement sits within Benfica’s wider digitalisation strategy, with the club continuing to invest in innovative solutions to improve security and efficiency across its global operation.
