Fulham have agreed a deal worth £30m to sign Southampton midfielder Shea Charles, according to Fabrizio Romano, who added that a sell-on clause is included.

Leeds United had targeted the 22-year-old Northern Ireland international this summer but were unwilling to go beyond their valuation.

The Whites had bids turned down, then told Southampton they had made their best and final offer.

That proposal stayed on the table, but there was no indication the Championship club would reopen talks, and Southampton have instead reached agreement with Fulham.

The report added that Fulham had been pursuing Charles since June.
