Fulham returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Sunderland at Craven Cottage, thanks to a late strike from Raúl Jiménez.
The goal came in the 84th minute after a precise cross from Samuel Chukwueze found the Mexican striker, who turned it home from close range.
The game was largely a midfield battle, with Sunderland starting the brighter. Enzo Le Fée and Bertrand Traoré tested Leno early on, but the Cottagers gradually took control, dominating possession and creating more opportunities.
Kevin missed a clear chance in the first half, heading straight at Roefs, while Sunderland’s best effort after the break saw Le Fée fire narrowly wide.
Jiménez’s late finish ensured Marco Silva's side claimed all three points, moving them up to 14th in the table, three points above the relegation zone. Sunderland, meanwhile, slipped to sixth, suffering a rare defeat on a day when quality was hard to find.
