Fulham have completed the signing of Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb (22) in a £27m deal.
The 22-year-old Norway international has agreed a five-and-a-half-year deal at Craven Cottage, ending his time at City after progressing through the club’s academy and making 47 senior appearances. Bobb becomes Marco Silva’s latest addition as Fulham look to build on an impressive season that has them seventh in the table.
Bobb said discussions with Silva and fellow Norway midfielder Sander Berge helped convince him the move was the right one. Fulham believe his pace, close control, and tactical intelligence will suit their attacking system, while also offering room for further development.
BBC Sport have also reported that the deal includes a 20% sell-on clause and Manchester City will have retaining matching rights on any future bids. Bobb had slipped down the pecking order at the Etihad following the arrival of Antoine Semenyo in January, and Pep Guardiola had acknowledged the player’s desire for more regular football.
Injuries disrupted much of Bobb’s progress last season, but he has remained involved internationally, helping Norway qualify for this summer’s World Cup. Fulham will hope a fresh start and consistent minutes can unlock the talent that made him one of City’s most highly rated academy graduates.
