Fulham are keen to agree a new contract with manager Marco Silva, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

Silva’s current deal, which contains a release clause in the region of £15 million, is set to expire next summer.

The London club are eager to tie him down to a new contract. Although talks over a new deal are yet to happen, there is said to be goodwill on both sides.

However, Forest are close to appointing Sean Dyche, who is available without a compensation fee.

Silva has completely transformed Fulham from a relegation-prone club into a Premier League force.

He joined the Cottagers in 2021 and led them to the Championship title in his debut season.

Fulham finished 10th and 13th in the Premier League before setting a new club record last season by registering 54 points to finish 11th.

They made a positive start to the 2025-26 campaign, forcing Manchester United to share the points before beating Leeds United and Brentford.

But they have lost their previous three top-flight fixtures, with the latest defeat coming on Saturday against Arsenal at Craven Cottage.

Silva’s side are 14th in the standings heading into their fixture at Newcastle United this weekend.
