Everton are exploring the market for a new forward before the transfer deadline, following Jack Grealish’s injury and their struggles in front of goal this term.
The Manchester City loanee, who has provided eight goal involvements, has suffered a foot stress fracture and is expected to miss the rest of the season.
Everton have now made an approach for Fulham winger Harry Wilson, but the Cottagers are not prepared to sell him this month, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
Wilson has been outstanding this season, chipping in with eight goals and four assists in 23 Premier League games.
His form has contributed to Fulham’s push to finish in one of the European qualification spots, as they sit eighth in the standings with 34 points.
Unsurprisingly, Fulham are unprepared to sanction his sale. A move is more likely in the summer, but it remains to be seen whether Everton will return for him.
Meanwhile, Everton have reached an agreement in principle to sign Chelsea youngster Tyrique George on loan with an option to buy.
George was close to joining Fulham last summer, but the deal fell through. The youngster has not had enough game time this term, making just 11 appearances across all competitions.
The England youth international is not yet as the same level as Wilson, but has the potential to strengthen David Moyes’s attacking options.
