Fulham are set to resume contract talks with Harry Wilson, a Leeds United target, amid renewed Premier League interest, The Standard reports.
Leeds came close last summer, filing a deal sheet on deadline day before a late Fulham U-turn. Since then, the Wales international has delivered his best season at Craven Cottage with eight goals and four assists, helping the Cottagers chase Europe.
Leeds retain interest and need a longer-term right-sided and No.10 option once Facundo Buonanotte’s Brighton loan ends this summer. Wilson is out of contract and is currently set to become a free agent.
Fulham want to keep the 28-year-old but face growing competition. An Everton enquiry was rebuffed last week, while Sunderland and Crystal Palace have also been linked. Any move would likely bring a sizeable signing-on and salary package, with no fee involved.
Marco Silva is also out of contract this summer and, with little progress on his future, there have been suggestions it could be affecting Wilson’s stance. In December, he said he expected Wilson to stay until at least the end of the season, hoped for more and had no update, adding the player remains focused for club and country.
Leeds will monitor developments after using the free agent market post-promotion, signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha, who have 14 Premier League goals between them. The Whites have 14 games to stay ahead of West Ham, six points back in 18th, and if they stay up another summer of heavy investment could follow.
