Fulham’s search for a first Premier League win of the season continues on Saturday when they host a Leeds United side contending with a significant injury crisis.
The fixture at Craven Cottage, which has a history of producing plenty of goals, presents a clash of needs. Fulham are desperate to kickstart their campaign, while Leeds look to build on a steady start despite selection problems, particularly in goal and attack.
Marco Silva has the advantage of a stable and consistent squad. The Cottagers have reported no new major injury concerns following the international break. Consequently, the manager will likely field a familiar lineup as he looks to address a 12-match run without a Premier League clean sheet.
In stark contrast, Daniel Farke faces a mounting injury list. Goalkeeper Lucas Perri is out with a quad strain, forcing Karl Darlow into his first Premier League start since 2021. In addition, there are major doubts over forwards Lukas Nmecha and Joël Piroe. There is some positive news, however, as captain Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka face late fitness tests.
The Cottagers are winless after their opening three matches, securing two draws before a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea. This poor start has highlighted their defensive vulnerabilities, as they have conceded a penalty in their last five league games.
However, they can draw confidence from their head-to-head record, having won their last three games against Leeds in all competitions.
The visitors have made a solid start to the season, earning four points and two clean sheets from their first three fixtures. Their form in the capital is a major issue, though.
Leeds have lost their last eight Premier League away games in London, conceding a staggering 26 goals in the process.
Fulham predicted XI: Leno; Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Lukic; Sessegnon, King, Iwobi; Jimenez
Leeds United predicted XI: Darlow; Bogle, Rodon, Struijk, Gudmundsson; Stach, Gruev, Longstaff; James, Calvert-Lewin, Gnonto
The match will not be broadcast live in the UK due to the 3 pm blackout. However, live text commentary and updates will be available via BBC Sport.
