Leeds United travel to Craven Cottage on Saturday looking to build on a solid start to their Premier League return.
The newly promoted side have already secured four points. However, a severe injury crisis threatens to halt their early momentum. Their dreadful record in the capital makes this trip to London even more daunting, which presents another significant hurdle for Daniel Farke’s side to overcome.
Daniel Farke is facing a significant selection headache. A quad strain has ruled out first-choice goalkeeper Lucas Perri for the next two matches. Consequently, Karl Darlow must step in for his first Premier League appearance since 2021. The problems also extend to the attack, where there are major doubts over the fitness of both Lukas Nmecha and Joël Piroe.
There is some positive news for the visitors, though. Captain Ethan Ampadu and midfielder Ao Tanaka have returned to training and could feature after late fitness tests. In attack, the creative burden could fall on new signing Anton Stach, who has created the second-most chances in the league so far. Meanwhile, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is expected to lead the line. He will be desperate to find the net, as he currently has the highest expected goals (xG) tally at the club but is yet to score.
Leeds predicted XI: Darlow; Bogle, Rodon, Struijk, Gudmundsson; Stach, Gruev, Longstaff; James, Calvert-Lewin, Gnonto
The Premier League fixture will be played at Craven Cottage on Saturday, 13 September 2025, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm BST.
The match will not be broadcast live in the UK due to the 3pm blackout. Live text commentary and updates will be available via BBC Sport.
