Fulham vs Tottenham Hotspur – Match preview and team news

Article image:Fulham vs Tottenham Hotspur – Match preview and team news

Igor Tudor takes his Tottenham Hotspur side to Craven Cottage on Sunday afternoon, desperately seeking a reaction after a bruising debut defeat in the North London derby.

The Lilywhites arrive in West London in the midst of an alarming slump, currently sitting as the only Premier League side without a victory in 2026. Following last weekend’s 4–1 drubbing at the hands of Arsenal, Spurs remain winless in their last nine top-flight matches. Tudor, who expressed “100 per cent” confidence in avoiding the drop upon his arrival, now faces a Fulham side that has already beaten his team once this season and looks to pile further pressure on the visitors’ precarious league position.

Fulham, meanwhile, enter the derby in high spirits after snapping a three-game losing streak with a convincing 3–1 victory over Sunderland. Marco Silva’s side currently occupies 10th place in the table and is aiming to complete a rare league double over their rivals for the first time since the 2003-04 campaign. Having beaten Spurs in their last two meetings at Craven Cottage by an aggregate score of 5–0, the Cottagers will be confident of exploiting a Tottenham defence that appeared fatigued and disorganised in their previous outing.

Team News

Fulham

Marco Silva confirmed a significant blow as forward Kevin is set for surgery and several weeks on the sidelines after a metatarsal injury sustained against Sunderland. However, there is better news elsewhere; Antonee Robinson has returned to training, while Saša Lukić and Samuel Chukwueze are also back in contention. A final decision on their involvement will be made following the final training session.

Tottenham Hotspur

Igor Tudor has received a double defensive boost with Pedro Porro and Kevin Danso both back in training and available for selection. Micky van de Ven has also been passed fit despite a minor toe issue. However, the injury list remains extensive; James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Mohammed Kudus are among nine senior players still sidelined. Captain Cristian Romero also remains unavailable as he serves the third match of his suspension.

Form

Fulham

The Cottagers returned to winning ways in style last weekend with a 3–1 win at Sunderland, which followed a disappointing sequence of three consecutive defeats. Notably, Fulham have been particularly effective in the second half of matches lately, with 12 of their last 14 Premier League goals coming after the interval. While they suffered a recent home loss to Everton, their record at Craven Cottage against Spurs is formidable, having won the last two encounters without conceding a goal.

Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs are currently enduring their worst start to a calendar year in over three decades, failing to win any of their nine matches so far in 2026 (D4, L5). Their last league outing resulted in a heavy 4–1 loss to Arsenal, a game in which they struggled to maintain intensity after half-time. Notably, Tottenham have won just one of their last 10 league games when deploying a back three. However, they have been more productive on their travels this term, picking up 19 of their 29 points away from home.

Predicted Lineups

Fulham Predicted XI: Leno; Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Sessegnon; Berge, Iwobi; Wilson, Smith Rowe, Bobb; Jimenez

Tottenham Hotspur Predicted XI: Vicario; Danso, Van de Ven, Dragusin; Porro, Palhinha, Gallagher, Spence; Sarr, Simons; Kolo Muani
