Gabigol and Bruno Henrique recreate iconic celebration before Flamengo vs Santos at Maracanã | OneFootball

According to Coluna Do Fla, before Flamengo faced Santos at the Maracanã on Sunday in the 10th round of the Brasileirão, Gabigol and Bruno Henrique reunited on the bench to reprise their 'fusion' celebration.

Both players have recently overcome injuries. The Santos forward recovered from a right calf issue, while Bruno Henrique dealt with pubalgia. Neither started, although both were among the substitutes.

The gesture, inspired by Dragon Ball Z, became a trademark during Jorge Jesus's successful spell, when the pair were central to Libertadores and Brasileirão triumphs.

Gabigol set up 14 of Bruno Henrique's goals, while the number 27 returned the favour with 19 assists for the striker.

Since 2019 they have formed one of Flamengo's most productive partnerships. Gabigol, formerly number 99, is the club's leading scorer of the 21st century with 161 goals in 306 games, while Bruno Henrique has 112 in 350.

Alongside Arrascaeta, Bruno Henrique holds a club record 18 trophies. Gabigol won 13 titles with Flamengo before departing in 2025.
