Gabigol scored Santos' first goal in a home win over Novorizontino, marking his return and the start of a third spell at the club.
According to Diario Do Peixe, he said the result mattered more than the goal, though combining both made the night even better.

He noted he had only a week of training in intense heat and that debuting at home with a win and a goal came with his family in attendance.
Describing a physically demanding build-up with double training sessions, he said he believes that at home, with their crowd, they have to win.
The victory delivered Santos' first three points in the competition and stretched their unbeaten run under Vojvoda to seven matches, with five wins and two draws.
