Santos were held 0-0 at home by Coritiba, frustrating their support again. According to Diario Do Peixe, Gabigol typified a blunt display in the player ratings.

Gabriel Barbosa failed to muster a telling effort in almost 80 minutes, and with him and Neymar together the front line looked slow and passive. Thaciano arrived too late to rate. Cuca received a low mark as Santos were wasteful and left spaces, and he was urged to stop replacing Bontempo with ineffective options.
