According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos organised a session at CT Rei Pelé on Wednesday in which first-team goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão spoke with all academy keepers and the Sereias and Sereinhas da Vila goalkeepers.

The talk formed a special edition of the club’s monthly goalkeeper-coach meetings led by Dênis Gago and Rogério Maia, and Santiago Piccinini, alongside staff from each age group. Brazão outlined his journey, the role’s demands and training habits, then took questions and photos.

Brazão said it was not long ago he was in their place and that sharing his story was gratifying. He described injuries, spells without minutes and moving between senior and youth football, which he said helped him. He was certain many could soon join him in the first team.

The Sereias da Vila, represented by senior and Sub-20 goalkeepers and coaches, used the chance to exchange experiences with other categories. Goalkeeper Stefane called it an important exchange, highlighting resilience through limited game time, injuries and difficult moments. She said Brazão broadened their view, stressing performance and studying the game.

Sub-16 goalkeeper Gustavo Colaneri said meeting a role model he watches every weekend was inspiring. He noted Brazão had faced similar daily challenges and overcome difficulties and injuries. The proximity made the step to the professional environment feel less distant.
