Gabriel Menino returned to full training as Santos began preparations on Thursday, and should be available to Cuca for Sunday’s meeting with Internacional. The session came a day after their Copa do Brasil quarter-final exit to Palmeiras.
According to Diario Do Peixe, the midfielder has recovered from a left knee sprain and completed the session at CT Rei Pelé. Gustavinho, left out against Palmeiras due to a thigh issue, also trained.
Players who started the 0-0 draw with Palmeiras worked indoors in the gym, while the rest trained on the pitch.
Santos are awaiting updates on Neymar, Barreal and Lucas Veríssimo, all substituted after reporting discomfort in the cup tie. They have undergone tests and the club has yet to release findings.
The Internacional match kicks off at 16:00 on Sunday at Beira-Rio, part of the 26th round of the Brasileirão.
Santos sit 14th on 29 points, four clear of Mirassol, who occupy the highest relegation place.
After their cup exit, the focus shifts to the league and the Copa Sul-Americana. They host Atlético-MG on Wednesday at Vila Belmiro in the first leg of the quarter-final.
