18-year-old Croatia youth international Gabriel Vidović will get a chance to showcase his abilities at Bayern Munich this summer in preparation for the 2022/23 season, according to Kerry Hau of Sport1.
Vidović was awarded his Bundesliga debut under Julian Nagelsmann in April 2022, two months after signing a professional contract with Bayern. His current deal runs until 2025.
Nagelsmann wants to take a closer look at Vidović in pre-season as he looks to give homegrown players an opportunity. The Croatian will spend pre-season with the first-team and then they will discuss the future of Vidović.
Staying at Bayern is not out of the question but a loan deal is also a possibility with several clubs from Germany and abroad interested in loaning the 18-year-old forward.
Vidović played 33 minutes in the Bundesliga last season after impressing for Bayern Munich II, scoring 21 and creating 10 in 30 Regionalliga Bayern games.
