Fresh from sealing a fourth straight Süper Lig title, Galatasaray have moved for Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, with Inter Milan also in the frame. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that both clubs have tabled formal offers for the academy graduate, who is entering the final year of his contract.

Galatasaray are intent on building a squad capable of deeper European progress next season, targeting at least a Champions League quarter-final alongside continued domestic control.

Jones is said to favour a move to Serie A and to buy into Inter’s project. He is understood to lean towards Inter’s proposal despite a lucrative package on offer from Galatasaray.

Talks centre on Liverpool’s valuation. Galatasaray are said to face a price tag in excess of €30 million, while Inter’s opening approach is around €20 million. The gap is viewed as bridgeable, with a future sell-on clause potentially key to agreement.

Both clubs are expected to re-engage with Liverpool next week after setting initial markers. Jones made 49 appearances last season, contributing three goals and three assists across competitions. As the window opens, his next step looks increasingly likely to be away from Merseyside.
