According to Fotomaç, Galatasaray have made Eintracht Frankfurt’s Can Uzun their priority for 2026-27 and have begun work to take the 20-year-old to RAMS Park.

The report says the Türkiye international, dubbed the Golden Boy of Turkish football, is eyeing a move after a tactical fallout with new boss Albert Riera. Uzun opened 2025-26 with six goals and three assists in 15 Bundesliga games, but minutes have since dipped under Riera, with public criticism of his off-the-ball work noted in the report.

The report adds Frankfurt had valued him at €80 million, yet a deal could now be reached for €40-45 million. That would represent a relatively low figure for a player of his profile.

Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek and the board see Uzun as a long-term cornerstone, mindful of possible foreign-player limit changes in the Süper Lig and their Champions League aims. He scored against them in this season’s competition, and Okan Buruk prizes his big-stage temperament, with a central role and potential icon status on offer.

Competition is strong. AC Milan are said to have made concrete contact, with Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Tottenham monitoring, though Uzun is reportedly drawn to the prospect of playing before Galatasaray’s support.

Negotiations are expected to intensify in the coming weeks. With his contract running to 2029, Frankfurt retain leverage, but the player’s wish for a fresh start could trigger a summer move that ranks among the most expensive in Turkish football.
