Reims defender Andreaw Gravillon (24) is being courted by two Istanbul-based clubs, according to a report from L’Equipe. The former Inter defender joined Stade de Reims last summer in a €3m deal following a successful loan spell with the Champagne outfit. The Guadeloupean has played thirteen games with Reims this season.
The 24-year-old, though, is currently finding life difficult in Ligue 1 with his game time dwindling following the appointment of 30-year-old Belgian manager Will Still. And with Reims unbeaten since October with Still at the helm, there’s little chance of seeing Gravillon hang around at the Stade Auguste-Delaune, with the defender tied to a contract with Ligue 1’s eleventh-placed side until 2025.
Last week, Beşiktaş came forward to Reims with a total package estimated at €4m bonuses included. Now though, it appears their rivals in Galatasaray have trumped them with a €4.5m offer to Reims. Talks are said to be at an advanced stage between Galatasaray and the Reims hierarchy, who expect a €5m fee for their wantaway defender.
