Galatasaray have intensified their push for Rafael Leao after Milan rejected an initial 35 million euros proposal, split into 30 million fixed and 5 million in incentives.

Milan are holding out for 50 million euros to approve a sale, Turkiye Today reports. The Istanbul club are preparing to come back with about 40 million, plus further bonuses.

One option under discussion is a loan with an obligation to buy. Leao would arrive on a temporary deal, with the purchase clause triggered later on agreed terms.

Even 40 million falls short of Milan’s valuation, although it narrows the gap. Leao’s choice will be crucial and the 27-year-old has not shown a clear desire to join the Turkish Super Lig.

Victor Osimhen’s presence at Galatasaray could encourage him to rethink. Milan meanwhile are seeking the best possible fee to fund remaining signings before the window closes.

Ruben Amorim said: “Leao enjoys playing, but he is a player in the team like the others. He helped the team today and that is important, but I evaluate him in the same way that I evaluate Nkunku or Camarda.”
