Fotomac reports that Galatasaray are stepping up their push to sign Eintracht Frankfurt attacking midfielder Can Uzun this summer. The 20-year-old is a leading target for the Süper Lig champions.
Talks with Frankfurt are said to be progressing, with head coach Okan Buruk driving the effort. Galatasaray are ready to table a four-year deal with a one-year option to bring Uzun to RAMS Park.
Frankfurt initially valued the player at €40 million to €50 million. Galatasaray have lodged an improved offer of €35 million plus €5 million in performance-related add-ons to narrow the gap.
The chase follows a long-term scouting project, with the club tracking his rise since 2023 during his breakthrough at Nürnberg.
Uzun is understood to favour the move after phone discussions with Buruk about his role, and his family are said to support a switch to Istanbul.
Galatasaray are keen to conclude paperwork swiftly, as Roma are also believed to be in the race after high-level contact with Frankfurt. The promise of immediate UEFA Champions League football and a prominent role could strengthen the Istanbul side’s hand.
