Galatasaray are exploring a bold move to sign Manchester City playmaker Phil Foden, valued at €70m, according to Fanatik.
The Süper Lig champions are prepared to stretch finances and have given influential Italian agent George Gardi, credited with bringing several stars to Istanbul in recent years, full authority to negotiate.
Gardi is understood to have proposed Foden to the board. The 26-year-old is entering the final year of his Etihad contract after reduced minutes last season and is believed to be seeking a fresh challenge.
Any deal would be highly complex, with several elite European clubs also monitoring the England international, but Galatasaray intend to push hard to test the possibility.
The club are also assessing alternatives for the No 10 role, including Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes and Eintracht Frankfurt prospect Can Uzun.
Strasbourg midfielder Julio Enciso, 22, is another name under consideration and is seen as attractive under the Turkish Football Federation’s newly structured “+4 Under-23” foreign player rule.
