The United States midfielder becomes the Blues’ first signing of the January transfer window, joining the Club from NWSL side Portland Thorns.

A regular for her national team, Coffey was a key figure in the USA’s march to Olympic Gold and a SheBelieves Cup triumph in 2024.

She’s also tasted success at club level, being named in the NWSL Best XI on three occasions and winning the 2022 Championship in her debut campaign.

Now, Coffey brings her talents to a star-studded City side, who currently sit top of the Barclays Women’s Super League table heading into the second half of the season.

The 27-year-old was visibly excited to join Andrée Jeglertz’s side after putting pen to paper on the transfer at the Joie Stadium alongside Director of Football, Therese Sjogran.

Once the formalities were out the way, Coffey sat down for her first interview as a City player, before spending time with our Club photographers to mark a special day.

That included filming her ‘reveal’ video, and testing out her piano skills once again in the studio.
