The German goalkeeper has made a permanent transfer to Premier League side Nottingham Forest.

It sees Ortega call time on a three-and-a-half year tenure as part of Pep Guardiola’s team.

Since signing for the Club back in July 2022 from Arminia Bielefeld, Ortega Moreno went on to total 56 appearances, including 25 clean sheets.

Those performances helped City win the Treble in 2022/23 and the 2023 Super Cup.

Perhaps his biggest contribution though, which will forever be remembered by City fans, saw Ortega make a save which proved decisive in Guardiola’s side winning a record-breaking fourth successive Premier League title in 2023/24.

The German denied Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son in a one-on-one, his right leg blocking the shot that could have completely altered the title race.
