Former Milan director Adriano Galliani insists that ‘any’ Italian who watches or enjoys football will be rooting for Inter in their Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday evening.
The Nerazzurri will take on PSG at the Allianz Arena in Munich at 20.00 BST. This is Simone Inzaghi’s second Champions League final in three years following a 1-0 loss against Manchester City in Istanbul in 2023.
If successful, this will be Inter’s fourth Champions League final success in the club’s history, and the first by an Italian club since Jose Mourinho and his treble winning side in 2010.
Galliani, who spent 31 years with Milan in various roles including CEO under Silvio Berlusconi, has admitted that he will be among the non-Inter supporters rooting for the Nerazzurri as a one-off on Saturday night.
In an interview with Sky Sport Italia, Galliani, now CEO of Monza, said that he has spoken with Inter President Beppe Marotta, who told him that anyone involved in Italian football should root for Inter in the Champions League final
“He gave a strong speech, he’s positive and he’s right,” Galliani said. “Any Italian football person will support Inter today.”
