Real Madrid legend Gareth Bale has moved to reveal his disappointment with the tactical setup made use of by Los Blancos on Tuesday night.
This of course comes fresh off Real’s 2nd defeat of the term to date.
Xabi Alonso and co. made the trip to Anfield yesterday evening, to lock horns with Premier League holders Liverpool in a Champions League clash.
When all was said and done, the visitors found themselves condemned to the wrong side of a 1-0 result, owing to a solitary goal on the part of Alexis Mac Allister.
In truth, though, the scoreline was something of a flattering one for Real Madrid, who had the brilliance of Thibaut Courtois to thank for preventing what could easily have been a hammering.
And one individual who has since highlighted one particular tactical shortcoming on the part of the La Liga table-toppers is club icon Gareth Bale.
Speaking as part of a punditry appearance on CBS Sports on Tuesday night, ex-winger Bale explained:
“Vinícius and Mbappé are clearly faster than anyone on the pitch, why not just knock it and try to test the defender? Maybe because there is nobody in the box. Only they can answer those questions…”
