Roma will have to do without Paulo Dybala at least for the upcoming Derby della Capitale with Lazio.

The Argentine’s latest injury means that Gian Piero Gasperini will have to find alternative solutions to defeat Maurizio Sarri’s side.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gasperini is also considering alternative solutions, such as a new left flank with Tsimikas deeper and Angeliño higher up, perhaps in a more defensive 4-4-2.

However, the most likely option for now remains El Shaarawy’s return to the starting eleven.

A 3-5-2 with Soulè and Ferguson as the attacking duo and an additional midfielder in midfield can’t be ruled out either.

The match against Lazio, already crucial for the team’s performance and the league table, thus also becomes a test for Roma without Dybala.

It will be an opportunity for El Shaarawy to steal the show and for Gasperini to demonstrate that, even with limited resources, they can remain competitive.
