Gaviões da Fiel chief slams team after loss to league’s bottom side

On the afternoon of last Sunday, September 21, Corinthians was defeated by Sport at Ilha do Retiro, in a match valid for the 24th round of the Brazilian Championship, with a score of 1 x 0. The result left the Alvinegro in tenth place with 29 points (seven wins, eight draws, and nine losses).

Two days after the match and still on the return trip – in a caravan – to São Paulo, Gaviões da Fiel, the club’s main organized supporters group, published a video on their social networks criticizing the team’s attitude in the defeat against the bottom team of the championship. In addition, they stated that they will talk to the players before the next match, in a meeting that should take place at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava.

On Sunday, the 28th, at 8:30 pm (Brasília time), the Alvinegro will host Flamengo at Neo Química Arena, for the 25th round of the national competition. The organized supporters, through president Alê, demanded greater commitment from the players, emphasizing that many times they “choose” which match they will play.

It was also stressed that the Gaviões are keeping an eye on possible outings of some players to night parties, as shown in a video circulating among fans on social networks in recent hours. Regarding the players who are nearing the end of their contracts, Alexandre Domênico emphasized that he is already against the renewal of some of them.
