Georgiy Sudakov left out as Ukraine face Kvicha Kvaratskhelia’s Georgia | OneFootball

Georgiy Sudakov has been omitted from Ukraine’s 23 to face Georgia in Tbilisi on Monday, according to Glorioso 1904.

Sudakov had impressed against Hungary in the Nations League, setting up the winning goal scored by Danylo Sikan.

Head coach Andrea Maldera has shuffled his options but kept Benfica goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin in his plans. Honoured recently in his country, Trubin stayed on the bench in Budapest and should start against Kvicha Kvaratskhelia’s side.

With 30 in camp for this fixture, seven players missed the cut. Sudakov is joined by defenders Vitaliy Mykolenko, Illya Krupskyi and Oleksandr Drambaiev, midfielders Ivan Varfolomieiev and Oleksandr Nazarenko, and forward Igor Krasnopir.

Nazarenko is unavailable after his red card against Hungary. Maldera confirmed in a press conference that Mykolenko is out with an injury. Varfolomieiev is the only player left out of both Nations League matches so far.

There are six returns compared with the Budapest squad: defenders Bohdan Mykhaylichenko and Taras Mykhavko, midfielders Mykola Shaparenko, Oleksandr Pikhalyonok and Vladyslav Veleten, and former Benfica striker Roman Yaremchuk, who has recovered from injury.
